Orford House

Back to House Teams

Mrs S Singh leads Orford House.

The pupils (and staff!) have been divided into 3 houses, based on the names of castles in our local area and each house has been allocated a colour.

Orford House named after the unusual, polygonal tower keep of Orford Castle in Suffolk. With views of the Orford Ness, it was built between 1165 and 1173 by Henry II of England to consolidate royal power in the region.

Captains, sport captains and prefects have been elected and presented with their badges in a recent assembly and we would ask that these badges be worn every day.

Our House Captains: Maddie McLeod and Cameron Scoging

Our Sports Captains: Rhys Kennell and Noah Magill

Our celebration assembly is every Friday, at 1.10 in the Infant Hall.

Once every half term, we also have a Learning Knights award. Mrs Andrews presents this prestigious award to those children who are being like one of our three learning knights.

Our learning knights are Knight Grafts the Great, Knight Thinks-a-lot and Knight Explores-afar.

We announce the attendance winners for the week in our house assembly. There is an Infant winner and a Junior winner.

This year we will be supporting local projects and fundraising projects such as:

We have three mini-plots at the Castle Hill Allotments, each belonging to a house. These are open on Wednesday and Sunday from 10-12. It would be lovely to see families taking part and helping to maintain our plots. Please see one of the house leaders for more information.

This year, we are proud to be taking part in Elmer’s Big Parade in Suffolk.

Please keep looking at the website for upcoming in-House competitions and events.
